ORIENTATION ON THE NEW LGU SCORECARD INDICATORS 2014-2016

The Department of Health Regional Office X conducted the orientation on the new LGU Scorecard indicators to the different Provincial Health Officers, City Health Officers and Municipal Health Officers of the region. The orientation was conducted last July 3, 2014 for the provinces of Misamis Occidental, Camiguin and Lanao del Norte and on July 4, 2014 for the provinces of Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon at Chali Beach Resort this city.

The LGU Scorecard is one of the components of ME3. The ME3 is a system developed by the DOH to determine if health sector reforms have equitably (how reforms have improved outcomes for the poor) and effectively (how reforms have achieved goals in the health systems) achieved the goals in the health system (better health outcomes, equitable health financing, and responsive health system).

Regional Director Aristides Concepcion Tan delivered his welcome message to the attendees.

Miss Rosario Torralba, the LGU Scorecard Coordinator from the Bureau of Local Health Systems Development, DOH Central Office, Manila was the invited resource speaker of the said activity.

The activity was facilitated by the DOH RO X personnel headed by Ms. Dalyn Neri, the Office-In-Charge of the Local Health Assistance Cluster together with Ms. Fe C. Sumagpao and the Planning Officer III Ms. Letecia Dolores Culanag-Abao and Ms. Cerela Achas-Planning Officer II from the Planning Division

The activity was generally successful. There were issues and concerns raised but were eventually addressed by the invited resource speaker. The new LGU Scorecard Indicators will be used in 2015 FHSIS and other health program Performance  Evaluation and Validation.
