The Department of Health - Regional Office X conducted Maternal Neonatal Child Health and Nutrition Grant 2013 Funds Utilization Review at Saddle Ridge Camp, Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon last February 5-7, 2014.
The activity took place in order to present the fund utilization for the MNCHN Programs for FY 2013 and at the same time plan for this and next year’s activities. It was attended by Provincial and City MNCHN Coordinators of Northern Mindanao.
Among the topics discussed were the claims for travel expenses, Fund Utilization Report for 2013 and the latest Vital Statistics of Region 10. Work and Financial Plan for 2014 was also presented for any modification and comment to fit to the needs of the respective local government units.
Dr. Roy Gavino, representative from Mindanao Health, talked about DOH-RO X and PHO’s Role in Technical Assistance provision and improvement of service delivery in relation to the preparation of Health-related MDG services utilization specifically on MNCHN Program.
2015 Operation Plan (OPLAN) Workshop was conducted among participants which was then presented by healthworkers Dr. Belen Pepito-Ligo for Cagayan de Oro City, Ms. Telesfora Madelo for Camiguin, Ms. Gilda Ajoc for Bukidnon, Ms. Fe Sumagpao for Misamis Oriental, Ms. Zenaida Casilac for Iligan City and Ms. Annie Lim for Lanao del Norte.
Inclusion of Dental Training for Day Care Teachers on Supervised Toothbrush Drill, BEMONC Training and Expanded Program on Immunization in the 2015 OPLAN by Cagayan de Oro City, Bukidnon and Misami Oriental gladdened the respective program managers.
As an agreement of the aforementioned activity, RO X shall be giving quarterly updates on the status of allocated funds to every province and city.
