DOH RO X Conducts 1st NTCP MOP among Private Practitioners

The National Tuberculosis Control Program of the Infectious Disease Cluster of the Department of Health Regional Office X conducted the first orientation on the 2013 Revised Manual of Procedures of the National Tuberculosis Control Program attended by various health workers coming from private hospital in Cagayan de Oro City.
The aim of the said activity is to orient the private practitioners regarding the changes in the Manual of Procedures of the National Tuberculosis Control Program. It also served as a venue for private and public sectors working hand in hand in the proper case finding, case reporting and proper referral system of TB cases in the region.
The participants of the orientation were the health personnel of Capitol University Medical Society, Cagayan de Oro Medical Center, Polymedic Medical Plaza and Maria Reyna -Xavier University Hospital.
The orientation was graced by the DOH ROX Regional Director Aristides Conception Tan, Assistant Regional Director Adriano P. Suba-an, and the Supervising Administrative Officer and former NTP Regional Coordinator Ms. Malou A. Gecosala.
Discussions spewed on the importance of cooperation among private sectors to combat against TB through proper screening and referral system as well as the case finding, case holding and the implementation of Infectious Control Plan per hospital/ facility.
